Takapuna Boating Club

Welcome to North Shore’s local community hub for all things watersports.

Takapuna Boating Club is an active club right on Takapuna beach, with a range of sporting and social activities throughout the year. We have a large number of sailing and paddling equipment that our active members can use for free – Lasers and RS Quests sailing boats, surfskis, and SUPs.

Our changing rooms with hot showers are a hit after a few hours of activity, and with an easy online booking system for equipment and a webcam to check the conditions before you head down, getting out on the water is a breeze. Regular sailing and paddling events are organised throughout the year.

Not into watersports? Takapuna Boating Club is a great place to meet new people and socialise with old friends, and we have a large group of social members who come together regularly at our prime beachfront location on Takapuna Beach for our Members Bar.

Our Member’s Bar is open Tuesday – Friday from 4.30pm, and Sunday from 3pm.

Other social activities throughout the year include:
– Quiz Evenings, Wine Tastings and other social events
– Social Committee events such as Mother’s Day brunch, St Patrick’s Day, Melbourne Cup and other sporting events
– New Members Evenings & Have a Go Days
– Friday Night Dinner and Members Draw every week

There is also opportunity to get involved with the club either through our Social Committee or On the Water Volunteers.
