Takapuna is your ultimate summer destination with the Takapuna Beach Summer Days Festival on Saturday 25th of January at Takapuna Beach Reserve! 🌞🏖️ This event is FREE and open to the whole community, so bring your friends, family, and loved ones along and celebrate summer with us. 🎉 Starting at 10am, bring the kids over and enjoy a wide variety of family entertainment and performances, to giant games, bouncy castles and more! (Keep an eye out for further announcements on performances and activities.) 🎶 From 3pm until 7pm, jam with amazing artists as they perform your favourite hits on stage – lineup coming soon! 🩴 Dust off those jandals, grab some takeaways from the 100 different hospitality outlets in Takapuna, or the food trucks on site and get ready for a brilliant summers day on our beautiful beach and reserve. The Takapuna Beach Summer Days Festival is not to be missed! 🙏🏼 This event has been paid for by a contribution from all Takapuna Beach businesses, so we encourage you to please support them as a small thank you - stop by some of the eateries to grab your takeaway coffees or picnic food and snacks to bring to the beach while you enjoy the event, or head up for lunch or dinner afterwards! After a smash-hit, sell-out UK Tour, everyone’s favourite 1930’s throwback greetings and compliments aficionado Troy Hawke returns to theatres around Australia and New Zealand with his brand-new show The Greeters Guild. A journey which started with a non-consensual customer service shift outside TK MAXX in Macclesfield has lead him around the world and directly into the orbit of the world’s biggest sporting figures. He’s confused Premiership footballers, been threatened by heavyweight boxers and improved the vocabulary of Formula 1 legends. In this show Troy examines his unlikely genesis and explores exactly why a well-dressed man simply being nice to people has caused such a kerfuffle. Artist Bio: Milo McCabe is a character stand-up with a career spanning over ten years headlining the biggest comedy clubs across the UK. As Troy Hawke he has garnered multiple award nominations and wins in various festivals across the world and sold out his Edinburgh 2019 and 2022 run and subsequent tours. Troy Hawke is the moustachioed motivator of the high street. An erudite, homeschooled 1930s throwback, Troy is the founding (and currently sole) member of the Greeter’s Guild. Hobbies include scrabble, conspiracy theories and calling Man City’s Erling Haaland a “Tremendous Nordic Meat Shield”.
