Discover Pupukemoana is a free family event by Pupuke Birdsong Project and Takapuna North Community Trust to raise awareness of the ecology and threats to Lake Pupuke. This event will allow the community to learn through experience; guided kayaking and snorkeling tours, Pumphouse Theatre tours, Killarney Park guided tours, workshops such as Raranga (weaving), and talks on relevant lake issues such as freshwater quality and pests. Learn about freshwater pests and be in to win an amazing Kayak Package sponsored by the Environmental Services @ Auckland Council. Event Details: 🗓️ Date: Sunday, 23rd February 2025 ⏰ Time: 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM (opening ceremony 9:30 AM – 10:00 AM) 📌 Location: Killarney Park, 38b Killarney Street, Takapuna, Auckland The free guided kayak & snorkel tours and Raranga (weaving) workshop will be run by Experience Marine Reserves (EMR).
