Promotion Terms & Conditions

By participating in this Competition, you confirm that you accept and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

The Promoter is the Takapuna Beach Business Association, trading as ‘I Love Takapuna’ (hereafter ‘TBBA’) located at 15 Huron Street (Level 2, Gallagher Insurance), Takapuna.

The Sponsors are TBBA, House of Travel Takapuna, Fiji Airways, Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort, Blue Lagoon Cruises, Shore City Shopping Centre and Mortimer Hirst.

The Competition is called “I Love Takapuna – Shop & Win”.

The Promotional Period is 12:01am Saturday 1 June 2024 to 11:59pm Wednesday 31 July 2024.

The prizes will be drawn on or before Wednesday 7 August 2024 and winners will be notified by telephone and/or by email. If the winner(s) cannot be reached by email or telephone within three working days, the Promoter may redraw a new prize winner without liability to any person.

To enter the Competition, you must make a purchase of at least $20 at any participating retailer or business in Takapuna.

Valid purchases are only those made in a physical store in Takapuna. Entries are not valid for online purchases.

Only one entry is permitted per transaction above $20 in value.

You must complete all required fields on the online or physical entry form to successfully enter.

Valid contact details including your full name, email address, phone number and store of purchase must be provided at the time of entry to successfully enter.

Proof of purchase must be kept by entrant and must be provided to the TBBA to redeem all prizes. Inability to produce proof of purchase will render the entry invalid and a new winner will be drawn.

Entrants can enter numerous times using different entry codes. Each entry must be submitted separately using the unique entry code provided and each entry card must correspond to a different transaction with its own proof of purchase.

The Promotion is open to New Zealand residents only.

Entrants must be 18 years of age or older.

By entering the competition, you agree to share your entry information with the Sponsors to be used for promotion administration, winner notification and email marketing purposes.

The prize winner(s) agree to allow the Promoter and Sponsors to photograph and film them and use their full name for marketing and publicity use without compensation.

The Promoter agrees to keep all personal details obtained via the Promotion confidential.

The Promoter agrees that such information may be used only by the Promoter and Sponsors after the Promotional Period.

The Promoter and Sponsors accept no responsibility for late or misdirected entries. Entries must be submitted through the online entry form, or on an official paper form, in full, to be considered valid.

The Promoter’s decision as to the winners is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into in relation to the conduct of the Promotion or otherwise.

The prizes are not redeemable for cash and are non-transferable.

The Promoter and Sponsors accept no responsibility for a variation in the value of the prizes or the suitability of the prizes for its intended purpose and the winner accepts the prize on an ‘as is’ basis.

The Promoter and Sponsors accept no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage or injury whatsoever that may arise in any way from the use of the prizes or the conduct of the promotion.

The Promoter reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions at any time.

Competition is intended to promote Takapuna to members of the general public and as such is closed to owners, managers, employees, and contractors of the TBBA. Entries from these groups will be invalid.

Owners, managers, employees and participating businesses within Takapuna are not permitted to enter with purchases or entry cards from their own businesses. They are permitted to enter if purchasing from a different participating business.

Entry into the competition is deemed confirmation that the entrant has necessary authority to enter the Promotion.

• A trip for 2x to Fiji, includes:
  • Return, economy airfares from Auckland to Fiji for two adults, on Fiji Airways,
  • Return airport transfers with Rosies
  • 3 night Explorer Blue Lagoon Cruise + Moments at Malamala Beach Club
  • 4 nights accommodation at Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort in an Ocean View Room including breakfast

• This prize is applicable to the recipient and their travel partner only and is non-transferable to other persons.
• Prize is not redeemable for cash or exchangeable for any other trip or location,
• Each traveller must hold and use a current passport with at least six months validity
• Whilst all information is correct at this time, prize is subject to change due to events out of our control.
• The Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort package is not valid during peak season & is subject to room availability.
• The Blue Lagoon Cruise package includes accommodation, all meals, entertainment, excursions, entrance fees, and activities.
• This package excludes all on-board beverages, spa treatments, diving or fishing tours, and other personal purchases on board. No extensions are permitted, and all elements are subject to availability at the time of booking.
• The prize must be redeemed, commenced, and completed by 31 May 2025.
• The prize is not available during blackout periods and school holidays.
• Please consult your travel consultant for valid dates.
• All visas or entry requirements are the sole responsibility of the travellers.
• House of Travel or its providers take no responsibility for loss of enjoyment or refunds due to circumstances beyond their control.
• Entering the competition constitutes a winner’s consent to be photographed and/or interviewed by House of Travel and for House of Travel to use his or her name and city/town of residence for publicity purposes without compensation. This includes House of Travel’s website, direct and social media channels and PR.
• The Promoter and partners make no representation as to safety, conditions and other issues that may exist at any destination. International travel advice can be obtained from various sources, including government, local consular offices and the web site of the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The winner accepts the Travel Prize at their own risk. 

• By participating in this competition, entrants confirm acceptance and agreement to the terms and conditions of this competition.
• The promoter of this competition is House of Travel Takapuna and its partners as set out.
• We always recommend purchasing travel insurance. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, due to any cause beyond the control of the promoter which corrupts or affects the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the promotion may be abandoned or postponed at the unfettered discretion of the promoter.
• The decisions of House of Travel Takapuna on all matters relating to this competition are final and no correspondence will be entered into. House of Travel Takapuna reserves the right to verify the validity of an entry or a winner’s right to redeem the prize in accordance with these terms and conditions. House of Travel Takapuna reserves the right to amend the prizes offered and these terms and conditions and in its absolute discretion cancel the competition at any time and without prior notice.
• The promoter and partners shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), or for personal injury suffered or sustained, as a result of taking part in, the winning of or use of the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
• Any personal information collected as part of this competition will be held by House of Travel in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993. You have the right to access, update and correct such information.
• Privacy Collection Notification. House of Travel Takapuna Limited and its related companies (“us”, “our”, “we”) are committed to respecting your privacy. In addition to any other purposes we have made known to you, we will collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information to enable us to conduct this competition. Any personal information you provide to us will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy also sets out how you can access or correct your personal information and details our process for handling privacy related complaints. Our Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time without notice to you and a current version is available on the HoT website.
• If the Winner does not accept these Terms and Conditions the prize will be forfeited.

• $500 Shore City Shopping Spree
  • There are THREE individual prizes of $500 Shore City Shopping Centre vouchers available to win. Three winners will receive $500 worth of vouchers, each.
  • Voucher use will be subject to Shore City Shopping Centre’s individual T’s and C’s.
  • Promoter and Sponsors take no responsibility for voucher loss, damage or expiration once given to the winner.
• $500 Mortimer Hirst voucher
  • The winner will receive 1x voucher for $500 to spend with Mortimer Hirst Takapuna
  • Voucher use will be subject to the Mortimer Hirst T’s and C’s
  • Promoter and Sponsors take no responsibility for voucher loss, damage or expiration once given to the winner.
• 1x night’s accommodation at The Spencer Hotel, Takapuna
  • The winner will receive a voucher for 1x night’s accommodation at The Spencer Hotel, on Byron Ave in Takapuna.
  • Voucher use will be subject to The Spencer Hotel’s T’s and C’s.
  • Promoter and Sponsors take no responsibility for voucher loss, damage or expiration once given to the winner.
• $200 Restaurant Voucher
  • The winner will receive vouchers to the value of $200 for a restaurant of their choice within Takapuna, that is a current and full member of the TBBA.
  • Voucher use will be subject to the individual business’s voucher terms and conditions.
• $100 Café Voucher
  • The winner will receive vouchers to the value of $100 for a Cafe of their choice within Takapuna, that is a current and full member of the TBBA.
  • Voucher use will be subject to the individual business’s voucher terms and conditions.

• Bonus vouchers to various Takapuna businesses will be awarded within the promotional period, at the Promoter’s discretion.

 The winner of the previous draws will be excluded from the subsequent prize draws, resulting in eight different individual winners.
