With events back in full swing, it’s going to be an awesome summer to be out and about enjoying live entertainment here in Takapuna. Check out some of the fantastic events happening in our town over the next couple of months.
Takapuna Beach Summer Days Festival 2023
Starting at 10am, bring the kids to the beach and enjoy a wide variety of family entertainment and activities. From 3pm until 7pm, jam with amazing Kiwi artists Tobias, Encore, and The Renegades as they perform your favourite hits on stage.

Re:generate Fashion Market
Re:generate Markets provide the opportunity for fashion lovers to shop vintage and preloved. There’s nothing quite like getting together for a day out hunting for your next favourite outfit, feeling the fabric, trying it on and getting styling tips from your besties.

Chinese New Year Festival
Catch Chinese dance, music, theatre, market stalls and of course, delicious Chinese food. Chinese cultural groups and organisations are coming from all over Auckland to set up for an amazing day on the beach reserve.

Auckland Shakespeare in the Park 2023
Proudly presented by Shoreside Theatre – head to The PumpHouse Outdoor Amphitheatre for a special night of Shakespeare. There are two fabulous plays on offer this summer – Antony & Cleopatra and The Merry Wives of Windsor. As the sun goes down, you’ll be treated to sumptuous costumes, creative production design and passionate performances by a talented troupe of local actors.

An Evening with Cowboy Junkies
Canadian alt-country pioneers Cowboy Junkies return to Auckland for the first time in 20 years. An Evening with Cowboy Junkies will feature the group’s career-spanning repertoire, from “The Trinity Session” to “All That Reckoning”.

Takapuna Beach Cup
Join New Zealand’s Premier Waka Ama Festival in February. Racing takes place on the Hauraki Gulf which offers paddlers clean waters, stunning views and a chance to paddle around one of New Zealand’s iconic extinct volcanoes, Rangitoto. It’s free for spectators so come along to watch the action on the water.
